This Just In.....

PAYTON AVERY ROBBINS CAN WALK

Yea!  Just today Payton has taken his first official steps all by himself.  He has been doing it more and more as the day goes on and can do more steps each time.  He is getting a little more steady each time too.  Wow I am just so amazed and we are all so proud of him.  Such a good litle puppy :)

Giddy up Daddy

DADDY'S MAKE GREAT HORSIES

As you can see Payton just loves it when Daddy gives him horsie rides. He's been, as always, a really happy baby this week.  Except for Friday night :( his ear infection came back and we had to go to the doctor on Saturday.  We are back on the medicine and will see the doctor again in a few weeks.  On a good note the perforation in the ear is healed, just not the infection.

Payton learned how to climb the steps this week.  He was going up just one or two before but last night and this morning he climbed up all the way to the top of the staircase (closely monitored of course).  He had no troubles at all and actually went pretty fast.

I have been giving him more food lately that he has to chew, not his favorite thing to do.  Unless it's a cracker or puff, he loves those. He has also started to feed himself, not consistently yet but he is getting the idea now which is great.

He is also really starting to get the idea at swim too, he is kicking his legs on his own in the pool and climbs out really well.  Next week we start swim at a new later time with our friends Aaron,
Melissa and Hudson!  We are so excited.

A Summer of Firsts

MOST CAUGHT ON CAMERA

Mom needs to take her vitamins more regularly or something cause I seem to be forgetting the camera lately when we head out the door.  Not a good habit and very upsetting when your little one is just learning and doing all kinds of new things.  But I did get some good pics and videos this last week.

Pat and I were off on vacation the week for 4th of July.  It was great to have some family time and to decompress. We did all kinds of yard work, relaxing, and visiting with family
and friends.

Payton went on Grandma ad Grandpa Osborn's boat for the first time (just to hang out and dance), put his feet in lake Huron with Grandma and Grandpa Robbins and hung out at the zoo with daddy's high school friends.

Unfortunately we didn't have the camera for the zoo OR Lake Huron, but we plan to go back to both places in the near future.
Payton is really doing well, he can stand all by himself and clap his hands or play with a toy.  And he can almost (not quite) stand on his own without using a chair, person, or toy to help him up all the way.  He has even taken a couple of steps but we are thinking at this point it was just a fluke.

Payt, is really good at climbing up the stairs, and we are working on going down the proper way not head first.  He likes to climb the fist 2 steps of the landing to the baby gate and then stand up and shake the gate while jumping, yelling and laughing.  It's his favorite activity right now and he gets very excited.

Here is a picture of the baby brown bunny that likes to hang out in our yard.  Isn't he cute.

We've Missed You

The long Absence

Sorry for the long absence, we have been very busy it seems this last month with all the warm weather, so much to do.

Payton has been learning all sorts of new things.  On May 20th he finally learned how to crawl forward, we were all so excited especially Payton who promptly sat up and clapped for him self.
But the crawling simply was not enough for our Payt not a week later he started pulling himself up (on just about everything), and a week after that we was walking with his walker.

At this point he can get himself about anywhere he needs (well wants) to be and is very hard to catch.  Needless to say the baby gates have gone up.  He still seems to be able to get himself into trouble though, I have had to clear the house of anything that is Payton height otherwise it gets thrown on the floor or used as a hammer.

He is also babbling quite a bit and can pretty clearly say dada. And sometime it sounds like he says Hi or Yeah.  Probably wishful thinking on my part though...

We have been busy with the house too, we cleared out the grass in-front of the house for a nice flower bed with the help of Pat's parents and also the garden on the side of the house.  It looks great.

Pat has been busy studying as he is going back to school, he started a class in May.  He is working so hard and I am so proud of him.

I have also been working on a side project of my own, handmade items that you can find at sweetthings3.etsy.com.  I am in the start-up phase right now but have a few items posted.  I will be sending out emails to all for the grand opening.

I also am attaching so pictures from the big storm we had on Sunday.  Lots of hail and big winds!!

Part Deux

ME AND MY SHADOW (continued)

Well Payton was having so much fun again in the mirror that I couldn't help but snap some pictures.  I also attached some pictures of him having fun with the curtains, trying to find out what's in the next room!

Payton is getting to be an expert crawler (backwards that is) no doubt that he will start moving forward pretty soon.  We have also spouted tooth number 2!  Yea!

Spring is for growing

BABY ROBBINS

Well spring is in full tilt and our little baby bird is really taking off these days!  He has mastered so many new things of late it is almost hard to keep track of them all.  He is scooting around on his belly really well kind of crawling backwards.  He can go for quite a distance before you know it!  He is also up on both hands and knees now rocking back and forth.  He can kind of jump forward a little in this position but mostly he ends up going backwards.  He is very ready to crawl and gets a little frustrated when he moves further away from his target rather than closer too.

Speaking of frustration, it's been a tough month for our little guy he has gotten his first tooth.  He did really well on the whole but we had some long nights along the way.  The tooth is out now but not us all the way so we are still having a little trouble.

So between the tooth and the crawling Payton has learned a little about frustration and has developed a funny quirk to show us he is up-set.  He puts his arms out to the side a little ways out from his body and stiffens them, while this is going on he grunts, purses his lips and turns a little bit red.  Now I must admit the first time this happened I didn't know what he was doing and it was hysterically funny so I might have encouraged him a little bit to continue this behavior (but it was really funny!)

A week ago Tuesday we had our first swim lesson and our second last night.  Payton was such a trooper both classes.  We had no troubles with him in the water, and he went thru all the exercises like a pro.  He goes under the water, floats on his back, climbs out of the pool and goes down the slide and into the pool with ease (and help of course).  The only thing that he does not like is when we have to pour the cup of water over his head.  Under the water ok, pour water over his head not ok.

And finally this last weekend Payton learned how to clap.  He is very proud of himself and so are we.  It's the new favorite thing and he does it all the time, it's very sweet.

It's also been a very busy month in our household.  We had to get a new A/C unit and furnace which was kind of a bummer but we are looking forward to a nice cool house this summer. We also put new shades up in our sunporch.  It looks great the room has come together nicely and I think that we will be spending may summer days and nights out there.

I also am posting a pic of my flowering tree from the front yard cause I think it looks really pretty this year!
Till next time :)
